Directing a full week of summer camp activities
Day Camp Director
This was my first time doing something of this magnitude for scouting. 3 day camp for about 100 scouts with lunch include. Programs included and Indoor Archery range, Indoor Slingshot Range, Crafts, Woodworking and Teambuilding Field.
As Director, I was very organized with my schedule and help program directors with whatever supplies they needed. Made sure I stayed within budget for Camp. All 5 stations were staffed and were organized for each day of activity.
As a Director, I chose not to micromanage my staff but chose to work with them and had confidence that they would put on a great program for the Cub Scouts.
This was an extensive 6 month process of planning and recruiting the right people for the position. We met regularly to discuss progress or identity any issues that may arise.
I had the pleasure of working with wonderful people with whom I can rely on.
